Meet the Band

Five experienced performers, one shared passion and a live sound created to keep every audience entertained.

Gina Stefanello – Vocalist

With years of professional vocal coaching and training behind her, Gina has developed the ability to sing virtually any style or genre of music. Her versatility, along with an impressive three-and-a-half-octave range, allows her to move comfortably from one style to another and tackle just about anything the band throws her way.
Gina has been the lead vocalist for Splash for the past eight years, bringing a big voice, plenty of personality, and a genuine love of performing to every show. Splash may be Gina’s first cover band in Arizona, but she was no stranger to the stage when she arrived.
Before moving from Southern California, she sang lead with several bands and also spent plenty of time performing with local musical theater groups. Between bands and theater, being in front of an audience has felt like home for a long time.
Singing is Gina’s passion, and that comes through every time she performs. Give her a stage and a microphone, and she’s exactly where she wants to be.

Born and raised in the heart of Chicago, Steve Costa’s love affair with music began when his cousin Paula handed him a copy of Meet the Beatles. That record changed everything.
Growing up in a tough Chicago neighborhood, Steve quickly discovered that a guitar and a rock band were a much better direction than some of the alternatives around him. With no formal training, he learned the old-fashioned way — by listening. Armed with 45s, AM radio, and a determination to figure out every guitar part he heard, Steve developed his playing by ear and on the streets of Chicago.
By age 15, he was touring the Midwest with musicians in their twenties, using a fake ID to get into the late-night clubs where the band performed. Touring soon led to recording sessions and years of experience playing live.
In the mid-1980s, Steve stepped away from music to focus on raising his son. Life eventually took him from Chicago to Florida and then to Arizona, but the guitar was never far away.
Around 2005, Steve returned to performing and has been rocking stages throughout the Valley ever since. He has played with a variety of cover bands, bringing decades of experience, a strong musical ear, and a love for the songs that keep people on the dance floor.
From classic rock and pop to dance favorites and crowd-pleasing hits, Steve brings the experience of a lifelong musician and the energy of someone who still loves plugging in, turning up, and playing for a room full of people
